Advertising

Part of the screen time is reserved for the airport’s own messages. The rest is sold to brands under one of two options, chosen by the airport. Option A: an exclusive ad company holds the airtime, pays a fixed platform fee to Genix and shares its revenue with the airport. Option B: the airport sells the airtime itself and keeps the full margin (see Results).

Parameter guide

Market reference (USD). There is no global price per second: the industry prices screens per 1,000 impressions (CPM). Premium airport screens are quoted at about $35–85+ CPM (AdQuick, 2026); digital place-based screens in airports and malls at about $9–32 CPM (PJ Solomon). To convert: price per second ≈ CPM ÷ 1,000 × viewers per screen-second. Example: $35 CPM with about 0.1 viewers per second ≈ $0.0035 per second per trolley screen. Trolley-screen viewing rates are not yet measured.

Value-added services

Duty free, dining, charging and entertainment sold through the platform. The platform earns a commission on these sales, and the airport receives the larger share.

Option B · the airport runs advertising in-house

What if the airport is the advertiser?

The airport sells the airtime to brands with its own team, instead of appointing an ad company. It pays the same platform airtime fee to Genix and keeps the full advertising margin, but also carries the sales risk.
